GUERILLA FILMMAKING: 101

Sat 3 November 2012   10:00am - 6:00pm
Part II: Sun 4 November 2012   11:00am - 7:00pm

Whether your budget is zero dollars or ten million bucks, this workshop will show you the steps you should take from the moment you have an idea for a film, through prep and production, and right up to the market and film festivals.

Featuring guest speakers to be announced, film clips, and an eighty-five page booklet, GF:101 is a relaxed weekend workshop that will teach you more about filmmaking in two days than you might learn at college in two years.

Subjects include: Steps to take before you shoot your first feature; Financing; Case studies of ROADKILL and HIGHWAY 61; Tips for Writing Low Budget; Pitching Your Project; and Distribution.

Instructor:

Colin Brunton has over 30,000 hours of production experience, directing and producing short films THE LAST POGO, A TRIP AROUND LAKE ONTARIO and THE MYSTERIOUS MOON MEN OF CANADA; producing feature films including ROADKILL, HIGHWAY 61, CUBE, HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH, and THE COLONY; and TV series LITTLE MOSQUE ON THE PRAIRIE, PUPPETS WHO KILL, and HOW TO BE INDIE.
