This workshop focuses on intermediate to advanced After Effects techniques. Some of the skills covered in this tutorial include: using the graph editor, working with shapes and paths, using particles, using expressions and the pick-whip, motion tracking and stabilization, basic 3D and lighting, using the camera, time remapping and use of mattes and keying. The tutorial will also include tips on integrating Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and will include a discussion of concepts of broadcast design. A working knowledge of After Effects is required.

Instructor: Dennis DayDennis Day is an award-winning visual artist and editor, who has produced, directed and exhibited over a dozen short video projects of his own. Over his 25 year career, he has also worked and collaborated with numerous artists as a film/video editor and compositor. He most recently taught post-production and visual effects in the Film & Media Program at Humber College (Lakeshore Campus). Dennis also works with digital photography, and his latest body of photo-based works was a Featured Exhibition at this year’s CONTACT photo festival. |
