This introductory-level course focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of video editing with the Adobe Premiere Pro software. From importing media and assembling images on a timeline to exporting your final product, this course will help you create a short video in a single day.

Instructor: Sonya Mwambu

Sonya Mwambu is an editor and experimental filmmaker born in Kampala, Uganda who is currently based in Toronto. She graduated from York University’s film production program where she developed her craft in shooting and experimenting with film to explore concepts of race, language and her own cultural identity. She has written, directed and edited a number of short fictions, documentaries and experimental works. Mwambu currently works as a freelance editor.
