Ross Turnbull

Ross Turnbull has made many short films and video works, two feature-length dramas and a long documentary essay entitled Terminal Device. He has edited more than 70 works, comprising many different flavours, by other artists. He has worked as an arts administrator and advocate and was formerly the Film Officer at the Canada Council for the Arts.

Konrad Skreta

Konrad Skręta is a Toronto-based tonmeister, sound editor, video editor, and cameraman. Born and raised in Poland, he studied music recording and sound for film, obtaining his Master of Arts from the renowned Sound Engineering Faculty at the Academy of Music of Warsaw.
Konrad Skręta is a Toronto-based tonmeister, sound editor, video editor, and cameraman. Born and raised in Poland, he studied music recording and sound for film, obtaining his Master of Arts from the renowned Sound Engineering Faculty at the Academy of Music of Warsaw. He apprenticed at Warsaw’s Wytwornia Filmow Dokumentalnych, where such auteurs as Andrzej Wajda and Krzysztof Kieslowski crafted their films. In 1988, he was invited to Canada to participate as an Audio Engineering and Production Associate at the prestigious Banff Centre for the Arts. Since 1991, Skręta has been engaged as a freelance in-house editor at Toronto’s artist-run studio, Charles Street Video, along with pursuing a variety of production and post-production projects, working with Deepa Mehta and Vera Frenkel, among others.

Yazid Mohamednur, is a Toronto based photographer/videographer. Originally a graphic designer and VFX artist, Yazid merged his design and photography skills to explore his two passions. Currently Yazid is working in the media production industry to build his portfolio towards being a DOP.

Christian Anderson

Christian Anderson is an award-winning, Afro-Latin writer and director based in Toronto, Canada. A graduate of York University’s film production program, Christian’s work centers queer, diasporic voices and experiences through unique and immersive story telling.
Christian Anderson is an award-winning, Afro-Latin writer and director based in Toronto, Canada. A graduate of York University’s film production program, Christian’s work centers queer, diasporic voices and experiences through unique and immersive story telling. Christian is also an alumnus of OYA Media’s Emerging Filmmaker’s program and the Nia Centre for the Arts’ Creative Connect community. They have worked for arts organizations such as Unity Charity, The Regent Park Film Festival and the Toronto Arts Foundation’s Neighbourhood Arts Network.

Chris Remerowski is a writer, director, producer, editor and motion graphics compositor. His short films have been shown at film festivals throughout North America. As well as producing television programs and commercials, Chris supervises the On-Air Creative Services Department at Zoomer Media.
TJ Cuthand

TJ Cuthand, also credited as Theo Cuthand and Thirza Cuthand, is a filmmaker and performance artist, writer and curator of Plains Cree as well as Scottish and Irish descent. He is credited with coining the term Indigiqueer, for modern Indigenous LGBTQ people.

Diane Brooks has more than 25 years of experience in program development and team management within the not-for-profit sector. Her work has centered on empowering marginalized youth and adults as they navigate employment, training, and education.
Diane Brooks has more than 25 years of experience in program development and team management within the not-for-profit sector. Her work has centered on empowering marginalized youth and adults as they navigate employment, training, and education. A multi-disciplinary artist, Diane’s current side projects amalgamate fine art, illustration, photography, music, and writing, collaboratively creating critical content that explores social and ethnic themes. Her training and professional background in film, theatre, broadcast journalism, and videography have come full circle, providing a strong foundation for her ongoing works in progress.

Alex Kingsmill is a cinematographer and visual effects artist based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His credits include television and web commercials, music videos, episodic TV, short dramatic films, and feature length documentary in both roles. He holds a BFA in Integrated Media from OCAD, and also works as a Camera Trainee with the IATSE 667 International Cinematographers Guild. Alex is also actively involved with Charles Street Video, an artist run center for independent filmmakers in Toronto. Alex sits on the board of directors, and teaches workshops for CSV members on various cameras, and post-production softwares and techniques.

Having worked most of his career producing content for endemic audiences, Davin specializes in supporting cultural organizations in the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) and forward thinking brands in using story to connect with community and niche markets.
Working in collaboration with marketing and programming teams, Davin aims to use the power of video to create meaningful engagement with audience; through the development of authentic content that resonates and reflects an organizations’s core values.

Brigita Gedgaudas (e/he/they) is an emerging, interdisciplinary, trans, and diasporic-Lithuanian artist working in so-called Toronto. Eir work engages with in-betweenness as they explore contradictory experiences of gender and cultural heritage through realms of dance
Brigita Gedgaudas (e/he/they) is an emerging, interdisciplinary, trans, and diasporic-Lithuanian artist working in so-called Toronto. Eir work engages with in-betweenness as they explore contradictory experiences of gender and cultural heritage through realms of dance and digital worldbuilding. Using glitches as mechanisms for queering Lithuanian folk dance, they are interested in translating the body between physical and digital worlds through interactive and immersive installations. Brigita’s practice is informed by his engagement in the queer street dance style, Wacking, the performance collective, PriXm, and the Lithuanian folk dance group, Gintaras.

Kasia Knap develops capacity building community programs in the settlement, arts, and non-profit sector. Through strategic partnerships and participatory design, for the past several years she has been creating collaborative programs with refugee youth that reflect their priorities and support the capabilities they value. Interested in how community development, art, and social justice can intersect, she looks for ways to elevate youth voice, reduce barriers to accessibility, and leverage leadership opportunities for youth self-expression. Kasia works at the Arab Community Centre of Toronto, where she leads the youth program.

Connie Oreamuno is a queer, Chilean Toronto-based artist with a multidisciplinary digital media practice. Since her post-secondary dance education, she joined her love of film and choreography eventually intersecting her work with new media and creative technologies. She is drawn to dream states, ethereality, colour, surrealism, and how different worlds and practices can intersect. Influenced by her dance background, she is interested in how movement and digital mediums can merge. Her work has been featured in Festival of Recorded Movement, Geary Art Crawl, Contact Dance Film Festival and published in Femme Handbook. She has primarily worked with projection design and mapping for installations, theatre, film, concerts and multimedia events centering queer artists.

Elijah De Los Santos, also known as Of The Saint has gained the attention of over 34.5K followers on Instagram as a world class photographer and videographer. He grew up in Jane and Finch, and attended Westview high school where he would later go to College in the US for soccer. After realizing his passions for making YouTube videos, he decided to pursue photography/videography as a career, and created Of The Saint Productions. Of The Saint has worked with Billboard, Universal Music, Hip Hop DX, and many more and has built a huge support from the City and beyond. He believes in capturing moments, and giving his audience a deeper look into these individuals lives, and is constantly thinking of ways to give back and create opportunities for Toronto.

Sonya Mwambu is an experimental filmmaker and editor based in Toronto. Born in Kampala, they grew up in Canada and their work centres on the intersections of their identities through the exploration of race, gender, language and the connections they find through the experimentations of analogue film and digital technologies. Their works have been shown at Nuit Blanche Toronto, Art Gallery of Ontario, the8fest, InterAccess, McMaster Museum of Art, (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico, and the Mono No Aware Cinema Arts Festival. Their work has also been published in qumra journal and The Archive of Forgetfulness supported by the Goethe-Institut Johannesburg. Their last project, ‘mountains never meet, but people do’, was an interactive digital and analog installation exploring personal archives of Uganda’s intertwined histories within the diaspora, completed as part of a residency at Charles Street Video. Mwambu holds a BFA in Film Production from York University and is pursuing an MFA in Film.

Amanda is a novice filmmaker based in Toronto, ON. Her first exposure to the film and television industry was as an actress, and she has been an ACTRA union member for over 6 years.
Amanda is a novice filmmaker based in Toronto, ON. Her first exposure to the film and television industry was as an actress, and she has been an ACTRA union member for over 6 years. She has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in economics management science, and has worked for TD Bank and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. Throughout Amanda’s career, she has always been particularly fascinated by the intersection of economics and film in Canada, from a macroeconomic perspective. Amanda is working on developing her writing craft and producing skills at Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema with intentions of producing her own work sustainably at a larger scale. Later in her career she plans to return to academia to research and promote economic growth in the Ontario film sector.
