GUERILLA FILMMAKING: 101

$0 all-in or workshop member
$300 production member
$350 nonmember

Whether your budget is zero dollars or ten million bucks, this workshop will show you the steps you should take from the moment you have an idea for a film, through prep and production, and right up to the market and film festivals.

Featuring guest speakers to be announced, film clips, and an eighty-five page booklet, GF:101 is a relaxed weekend workshop that will teach you more about filmmaking in two days than you might learn at college in two years.

Subjects include: Steps to take before you shoot your first feature; Financing; Case studies of ROADKILL and HIGHWAY 61; Tips for Writing Low Budget; Pitching Your Project; and Distribution.

Instructor:

Colin Brunton has over 30,000 hours of production experience, directing and producing short films THE LAST POGO, A TRIP AROUND LAKE ONTARIO and THE MYSTERIOUS MOON MEN OF CANADA; producing feature films including ROADKILL, HIGHWAY 61, CUBE, HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH, and THE COLONY; and TV series LITTLE MOSQUE ON THE PRAIRIE, PUPPETS WHO KILL, and HOW TO BE INDIE. He's currently putting the finishing touches on his documentary about the origins of the Toronto punk/new-wave scene, THE LAST POGO JUMPS AGAIN, and is in post-production on director John L'Ecuyer's $1000 feature METHADONIA.
