Introduction to AVID

Learn the basics of Avid, a professional, non-linear editing system, and apply it to the editing, finishing, and post-production on your project. Participants receive a good overview of Avid, including video, time-lines, and cutting techniques.

Instructor: Ross Turnbull

Ross Turnbull has made many short films and video works, two feature-length dramas and a long documentary essay entitled Terminal Device. He has edited more than 70 works, comprising many different flavours, by other artists. He has worked as an arts administrator and advocate and was formerly the Film Officer at the Canada Council for the Arts.
