This workshop will introduce participants to the primary techniques and procedures used in this popular non-linear editing software, including: initial project setup, codecs and frame rates, 2K and 4K issues, standard editing procedures (splice, replace, overwrite), motion and video effects, modular editing, and exporting for various video and web applications.
Participants are welcome to bring their own footage to work on throughout the workshop.

Instructor: Dennis DayDennis Day is an award-winning visual artist and editor, who has produced, directed and exhibited over a dozen short video projects of his own. Over his 25 year career, he has also worked and collaborated with numerous artists as a film/video editor and compositor. He most recently taught post-production and visual effects in the Film & Media Program at Humber College (Lakeshore Campus). Dennis also works with digital photography, and his latest body of photo-based works was a Featured Exhibition at this year’s CONTACT photo festival. |
