Introduction to the RED Dragon Camera

A workshop exploring the RED Dragon’s capabilities and workflows, both in pre- and post- production steps. With a 5K Mysterium-X sensor, able to shoot 120 frames-per-second and capture at 14MP resolution, some feel this camera exceeds 35mm film. In this hands on workshop, we will cover the main aspects of using the Red Epic: building the camera, using accessories, navigating the menus, shooting, and working with Red footage.

Instructor: Taylor Zeller-Newman

Taylor Zeller-Newman operates a production company called Crimson Fish. He shoots nearly exclusively on the RED camera platform and has been using them nearly since their conception. He has developed workflows for the camera system for everything from a simple documentary to commercial production to fully utilize the flexibility and simplicity of the RED camera system.
