Why: For the love of all things art related  

Want to test screen a scene? Have an old piece you want to show? What about a film that's been collecting dust? This is an opportunity to share your work and get public feedback from other artists or just share (for the love of the game).

CSV Members, Non-Members and art allies alike are invited to share your short films, videos, audio art, and interactive art to showcase or test screen.

Celebrate Video Chuck is a chance to bring together community, socialize, network, and highlight the work of our members and community artists.

Also Happy Pride and Indigenous History month! We don't typically have themes for our chucks but let's say we're more than happy to ally ourselves with our Indigenous kin and queer familia.

**Project Criteria**

• Mediums were looking for: Media art, Audio Art, Live Performance

• There technically isn't a theme for tonight's Video Chuck so bring whatever resonates

• 15-minute maximum for all projects

• One project per Artist

• No commercials or overt public service announcements*

• Must have project link OR bring project on thumb drive or hard drive on the day of presentation

• Open to Members and non-members

FAQ's:

Is there a theme?
No! The CSV staff just like to keep things fun. Any genre/subject of work is welcome

Do I have to be there to have my project screen?
Due to our Open Mic-esque format, All artists must be present to show their work. Presentation is first come first serve so arrive early.

How should I bring my work?
Please bring your work on a thumb drive or hard drive or have a link available for us to play your project.

I'm a performance artist with a video or Interactive art piece I want to submit. Can I perform alongside my work?
Yes, you can absolutely perform alongside your work. However if you have any tech/space requirements that we should be aware of/can help with please contact Christian@charlesstreetvideo.com

I'm a DJ / Musical artist interested in adding visual components to my work or scoring future work, can I get feedback here?

Can I ask the audience questions about my work?
You can ask the audience question but we ask that you keep it to 2 so we can move through our other submissions.

We’ve decided not to accept public service announcements in our submissions to stay focused on other types of content that align more closely with our goals and audience interests.

*What is a PSA?
A public service announcement (PSA) is a message designed to inform or educate the public about an important issue, often aiming to change behavior or raise awareness. Examples include campaigns promoting road safety, mental health resources, or environmental conservation.

While PSAs serve a valuable purpose, we’re prioritizing submissions that fit a different scope or format at this time. Thank you for understanding!
