Plus, we’re teaming up with our BFFs at Dames Making Games (DMG) again to present our VIDEO CHUCK! CSV + DMG members are invited to bring along short film, video and interactive work to present.

As video games have evolved, their soundtracks have grown and embraced the concept of creating an immersive experience which TV and Film have been building on for decades. To create a fully immersive experience, it’s important to carve out a sonic identity. You have to consider the big picture as well as the small details in order to make your world, your characters and your story feel real. We’ll review how the history of sound design in TV and film has influenced game audio design, while also recognizing what sets games apart.

YIFAT SHAIK
Yifat will explore how game glitches, mods and cheats are used by players as means of self-expression, and how underrepresented groups have or can use these tools to create an alternative way to play and create games.
