DAY 1: FILM SCREENING
Friday, September 22 at 6pm
Public film screening of Madeline Olenek’s Queer comedy Codependant Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same, paired with a sweet sweet short. There will be snacks and chats about the film too!
DAY 2: IMPROMPTU FILMMAKING TUSSLE
Saturday, September 23 at 2pm
What does this mean? In 6 hours we’re gonna collaboratively write a short script, and well, shoot it. Sounds wild? We know. We don’t know how it’s gonna play out - but we’ll be using real dandy equipment provided to us by Charles Street Video and we’ll be having tons of fun! We want to embrace collaborative DIY guerilla filmmaking and make new friends!
WHO IS SHE FILMS?
We are a young female filmmaker collective who prioritize spaces for young female identified, and non-binary folks who love film. DIY low-budget filmmaking is our thing but we work to grow as a space that will provide filmmakers with resources and support. She Films means connecting and creating a community of strong, creative filmmakers. We run weekly writing workshops and monthly screenings, and please join us in our first public event!
Reminder that priority is for non-binary folks and female identified individuals and that youthfulness is not measured in age! It is not mandatory to attend both days. If you have RSVP’d but can no longer attend, please let us know as there is limited space.
