"Everything comes alive when contradictions accumulate." — Gaston Bachelard
Join us for When Contradictions Accumulate, an evening of immersive performance and installation at Charles Street Video (76 Geary Ave, Toronto) on February 21 from 7:00 - 9:30 PM. This event is a reprisal of Kristine White’s shadow puppetry and Heidi Chan’s live composition, emerging from an ongoing collaborative process of improvisation and exploration.
Inspired by philosopher Gaston Bachelard, whose words shape Heidi Chan’s experimental music project Bachelard, this performance explores the interplay of contrasts—storm and shelter, emptiness and fullness, sound and silence.
This all-ages event is free to attend, with snacks and drinks provided. We invite you to experience this unique fusion of visual and sonic storytelling.
