We also have a full range of fluid head tripods, camera batteries, HD monitors, lights and grip gear.
Other recent acquisitions include the Red Dragon, Sony FS700, Canon C100, Go Pro Hero 3Panasonic's AG-AF100 and GH3 cameras.
We also rent the Panasonic HVX200 and HPX170 ("P2") cameras, which capture high-definition images to media cards. For members wishing to shoot in standard definition, CSV has retained a Sony PD-150 digital camcorder. And for those interested in truly low-end image capture, there is a rare, Fisher-Price Pixelvision 2000 camera. Manfrotto fluid head, mini-DV tripods are available for use with the smaller cameras. All cameras (save for the Fisher-Price) have XLR audio inputs for professional microphone adaptation.
Our inventory of location audio recording equipment includes several field recorders and excellent field microphones, both wired and wireless. We rent lightweight boompoles, a boom roller, headphones and XLR cable.
Bookings, Pick-up & Drop-off
Bookings for mobile equipment may be made on-line or through the office on a first-come-first-served basis. Members may not help themselves to equipment or tapes in the technical area. When picking up gear, please allow sufficient time to set up, test and pay for the equipment before leaving CSV premises.
Production equipment may be picked up the day prior to your booking between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Mondays excepted: please alert the office if your shoot day is a Monday).
Note that if it does not conflict with another booking, you must book your pick-up date on the on-line system, in addition to your shoot dates (again, Mondays excepted). You will not be charged for the pick-up day. Please contact the office if you are unable to book your pick-up day due to a prior booking, so that we may ensure suitable transition arrangements are made between the two bookings.
Please contact the office if you expect to check-out your gear after 4 p.m.
Mobile equipment must be returned the day after your booking between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
