Programme:Deep Wireless Residency 2004The Deep Wireless/CBC Outfront commissioned works were presented in May of 2004 on CBC Radio One's "Outfront." Spatialized versions were also presented as part of the "Radio Theatre" performances at the Latvian House, 491 College St. W. in Toronto. New Adventures in Sound Art sponsored the Deep Wireless commissioning and residency program, co-produced with "Outfront" and Charles Street Video, that was begun with Deep Wireless 2003. Four Canadian artists - Marilyn Lerner, Sylvi MacCormac, Marian van der Zon, and Richard Windeyer - were selected from a Canada-wide call for submissions to produce a work for both the "Out Front" radio broadcast and for the Deep Wireless 2004 "Radio Theatre" presentations. It is with great pride that we can also announce that Reena Katz, one of the Deep Wireless 2003 commissioned artists, won the best new artist award for her piece "Can You Say Haa" at the 2003 Third Coast Festival.
