Raqqa ware 2.0 Museum

Artist, researcher and technologist Jawa El Khash, invites you to explore the 3D ceramic collection inspired by 13th century Raqqa, Syria.

This 21st century work revives the ancient art movement from Raqqa, and looks to the future of museology and digital archaeology. In 2021, Jawa was long listed for the Sobey Art Award. Most recently in 2024, she has been short listed for the 7th Art Jameel prize presented by the Victoria & Albert museum in partnership with Art Jameel.

Join us for this virtual gallery exhibition thoughtfully created and made explorable through interactive virtual reality technology.
