$0 all-in or workshop member
$10 production member

For artists with plenty of video content to build into their next installation, party, or performance piece, this workshop will teach the basics of working with the node-based software, Isadora (no coding required) and it’s intuitive projection mapping tool, IzzyMap. Learn to use Isadora* to projection map your video, animation, or images onto 3D physical objects and even learn how to incorporate live interactivity into your installation.

Each participant will have access to a Charles Street Video projector free of charge for duration of the workshop.

Learning Objectives
  • Articulate, develop, and execute a raw idea from inception to an actionable and innovative new media installation or performance piece.
  • Perform rapid prototyping to find out which physical surfaces are suitable for the best visual output for your installation.
  • Projection map your own customized images and videos onto 3D physical surfaces. Build a live sound or live video as a trigger to actuate media.
  • Learn the basics of GPU codecs ideal for multiple simultaneous playback in a real-time environment.
