Indie Music Video Workshop

Tue 20 November 2018
6:00pm - 9:00pm

This workshop is all about the art of the elusive music video. It's fun, it's awesome, it's hard. I've made lots of music videos (feel free to check out www.routeeleven.com) with large and indie artists, and I'm here to share what I've learned and answer your questions. We're going to talk about:

What makes a good music video
Getting paid & protecting your rate
Working with musicians & labels on creative concepts
Pushing the project through to completion
Grants, applications and treatments
Where to invest and where to save
Anything you've got on your mind - there will be time for discussion and questions

  • maximum capacity: 12
  • 3 hours of instruction

Instructor: Ryan Tremblay

Ryan Tremblay is a Cannes, Juno & MMVA award-winning producer, entrepreneur, and film school dropout. Ryan co-founded Amber, where filmmakers can protect their work forever without buying a single hard drive. He also founded Route Eleven, a commercial & narrative production company with clients like Universal, Volkswagen, Sony, Grimes, Janelle Monáe, Sofi Tukker, and Egale Canada. Today Ryan produces sometimes, but is focused mostly on supporting filmmakers with Amber - making it easier for them to do what they love.
