What does your idea for a certain narrative and the images in your head have anything to do with figuring out how to get a film made? Through our time, we will reconvene with our imaginations and confront the harsh reality of financing, but this time through knowingly creating relationships between your aesthetic ambitions and the resources you have access to. We'll discuss how images exist within an economy, crewing and compensation, on-set and pre-production language, and the all important scheduling. Participants are asked to please bring one short (or feature!) idea that we can all be involved in workshopping through these considerations! Ultimately, this workshop asks: What methodology can we use to work for us? The answer may surprise you, because I can already assure you it's not the one we learn in school.
