Introduction to Screenwriting

Instructor: Hope Thompson

A graduate of the Canadian Film Centre's Feature Writing program and UBC's Creative Writing MFA program, Hope writes for stage, film and television and her work explores the queer experience through history and genre. She has had plays produced in Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles and her award-winning short films have been screened and broadcast internationally. On the television side, Hope wrote on two seasons of CBC's Baroness Von Sketch Show and was recently hired to co-write a new series. She continues to develop her own queer-focused feature and series projects.
