Live streaming is quickly becoming the most popular form of entertainment. What started as a niche medium, live streaming has quickly turned into a useful medium, accessible to many.
In this workshop, you will learn how to use the streaming tools we offer at Charles Street Video to help support your media art making. This class will introduce participants to new gear specific to Charles Street like our Black Magic Ultrastudio, the Atomos Shogun Recorder, and the Connect4K Video/Audio capture card, as well as an interactive session on planning your stream for YouTube or Twitch. Then a quick overview Wirecast video streaming demo. Wirecast is a live video streaming production tool by Telestream. *THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE IN-PERSON AT 76 GEARY AVE*
Instructor: Elliott Fienberg Elliott Fienberg is a Toronto media artist who has worked on sound art and interactive projects for the past decade. A graduate of OCAD University's Digital Futures Graduate Studies program, Elliott has provided education for experimental artists through both the Soundhackers meetup, as well as Spaghetti Lab which created a DIY electronics kit with YouTube tutorials. In the summer of 2020, Charles Street Video commissioned Elliott to learn the Wirecast 310 system for a series of concerts held in participation with New Adventures in Sound Art (NAISA). This workshop will discuss the ins and outs of how the performances were planned and executed. |
