This workshop will introduce you to the process of directing a project on any scale. The workshop covers practical aspects of directing such as casting, locations, storyboards, rehearsals, telling a story with pictures, the psychology of composition, moving the camera, screen direction, eye-lines and the axis, shooting schedule, on set protocol, and other production concerns.

Instructor: Eric Bizzarri Eric Bizzarri is an award winning Canadian director and producer based in Toronto. Primarily interested in the nuances of human relationships, Eric's work investigates toxic masculinity, male-male abuse, friendships and intimacy. His films have been distributed by CBC, Super Channel, Revry and Amazon Prime (US, UK, Germany) as well as screened at notable film festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival, Miami International Film Festival, TIFF Next Wave, Palm Springs International Short Fest, Cinefest Sudbury International Film Festival, Whistler Film Festival and Canadian Film Fest.
Eric is the Co-Founder and CEO of the Future of Film Showcase, an annual film festival based in Toronto fostering the future of emerging Canadian filmmakers, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Breakthroughs Film Festival. He is a graduate of York University with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Film Production with Honours.
