This workshop introduces filmmakers on the key elements to writing an effective story, both for shorts, features and television. Elements in this workshop include: vomit drafts, beat sheets, storyboarding, A, B + C stories, as well as working with story editors and co-writers. Eric will share what's worked for him in the past, and his writing process.

Instructor: Eric Bizzarri Eric Bizzarri is an award winning Canadian director and producer based in Toronto. Primarily interested in the nuances of human relationships, Eric's work investigates toxic masculinity, male-male abuse, friendships and intimacy. His films have been distributed by CBC, Super Channel, Revry and Amazon Prime (US, UK, Germany) as well as screened at notable film festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival, Miami International Film Festival, TIFF Next Wave, Palm Springs International Short Fest, Cinefest Sudbury International Film Festival, Whistler Film Festival and Canadian Film Fest.
Eric is the Co-Founder and CEO of the Future of Film Showcase, an annual film festival based in Toronto fostering the future of emerging Canadian filmmakers, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Breakthroughs Film Festival. He is a graduate of York University with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Film Production with Honours.
