Instructor: Enrique Miguel Baniqued Enrique Miguel Baniqued is an emerging Filipino-Canadian film producer known for his work on Village Keeper (2024), a feature film that had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. A former business graduate turned producer, Enrique has seamlessly transitioned into the film industry, using his strong entrepreneurial skills to manage and coordinate complex productions. His career in Toronto has included collaborations with various top-tier entertainment companies, including Destination Toronto, The NHL, WNBA, The JUNOS, UFC, and CBC's Family Feud Canada. Enrique was also selected for the Toronto International Film Festival's inaugural Every Story Accelerator talent program presented by the RBC Foundation, highlighting his dedication to amplifying diverse voices in film. In 2024, Enrique was nominated for the prestigious Kevin Tierney Emerging Producer Award by the Canadian Media Producers Association, further solidifying his reputation as a rising talent in the industry. Passionate about representing underrepresented voices, Enrique aims to bring Filipino stories to the global stage, inspired by the success of international cinema movements like South Korean film. Enrique co-founded the full-service photo and video production company EXPLORERS Content and is also developing film and TV projects with Karen Chapman through Smallaxx Motion Pictures, both based in Toronto, Canada. |
